Fired Up!

I recently posted an entry regarding my current mental state....how dull I currently feel.

Then, I came across a news article; Bush: ‘Military people’ will decide troop levels...

It fired up my synapses rather quickly!

Bush's comment?

“I wouldn’t ask a mother or a dad — I wouldn’t put their son in harm’s way if I didn’t believe this was necessary for the security of the United States and the peace of the world...”

I have one response to our President's words.

BULLSHIT!

Total BULLSHIT. He's trying to hold out for the rest of his term of office so he can leave the mess to someone else to sort out and to take the hard decision to pull out.

With the beloved democratic system, there must be some way of getting rid of an out-and-out murderer!

He makes my blood boil.

I don't think I can put it more succinctly.

I spoke with someone yesterday who actually voted for Bush, one of the few I know who did...or at least admit to it...if she is any indication of those that voted Republican in 2004,(she stated unequivocally she will not vote Republican this next time) then we will definitely have a Democrat taking the oath of office on Jan. 20, 2009.

Will that do any good? Only time will tell.

A poor excuse for a man. Trying to finish what daddy started..... and failing.

Unfortunately, no matter how hard people work to have him impeached, he will probably be out of office before the impeachment takes effect, if it ever goes. He is the world's biggest joke and a terrorist himself.

If that is the type of democracy he wants to spread throughout the world, it needs a bit of tweaking first. The fact he can do all this and remain in power to continue this ritual of abuse of office, leads me to think something needs to be fixed in the whole process.

notice he's said just what the anti-war folks have been saying all along. most notably rosie o'donnell. before she left the view she said that constantly, and she still says it on her blog: our government has an unspoken covenant with its soldiers, that it will not put them in harm's way unless absolutely necessary.

it was/is an effective line for pulling out of iraq, and it was working. that's why bush is saying it now. orwellian to the max.

Nobody mentions his side-kick that got us into this mess. What was his name? Rumskin or Rumsfeld or Rumsomething? A war monger.
